WHY DID YOU CHOOSE BLUFFTON?

I chose Bluffton because the community was so welcoming and felt like home. And Bluffton is allowing me to continue in both my academic and athletic careers.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR MAJOR? WHAT’S MOST EXCITING ABOUT YOUR CLASSES?

I chose pre-medicine because my younger sister struggled with a chronic illness. This inspired me to work in pediatric medicine. The most exciting aspect of my classes is the challenge of balancing so many different areas of study, and knowing what you are working towards.

TELL US ABOUT BLUFFTON’S FACULTY, STAFF AND COACHES. ARE THEY HELPING YOU REACH YOUR GOALS?

Bluffton’s faculty and staff are some of the kindest, helpful and most passionate people I have met. I had many questions in my first year, all which were answered by faculty or staff. My experience with coaches is also very positive. They care not only about your athletic success, but also academic and life successes.

WHAT STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS ARE YOU PART OF? WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO BE ACTIVE ON CAMPUS?

I am part of the President’s Ambassadors as a way to represent Bluffton University in the way that I see it. I find it important to take opportunities to be active on campus in order to meet new people, gain experiences and become closer with the campus where we will spend the next four years.

ARE YOU A STUDENT-ATHLETE? IF SO, WHICH SPORT(S) DO YOU PLAY, AND WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF BEING ON A TEAM AT BLUFFTON?

I play volleyball. My favorite part of being a student athlete at Bluffton is the community I have found here. I am so blessed to have met a group of women who support each other in everything. I have found my very closest friends through being a part of this team.
