Putting faith into practice

Zane Sarcheck ‘25, a marketing major with a minor in communication from Sunbury, Ohio, is completing his internship with various departments at Bluffton University.

Sarcheck is currently the intern for campus ministries, office of student engagement and center for career and vocation. Some of his tasks include posting social media content and organizing campus events.

As a part of campus ministries, Sarcheck aids in organizing chapel services, Bible studies and assists with Delight Ministries.

“One of my favorite events to organize is a men’s Bible study that is made up of mostly baseball players,” said Sarcheck.

Sarcheck has been working with Chalsi Campbell ‘12, campus pastor and instructor of religion, throughout his internship.

“Chalsi is a lovely lady,” said Sarcheck. “She has been absolutely amazing to work with because she is understanding, trusting and has a lot of compassion for others.”

Another individual that has been an integral part of Sarcheck’s Bluffton experience is Brienne Sprunger, assistant professor of marketing and director of MBA programs.

“Brienne has helped me develop in so many ways,” said Sarcheck. “The coursework that I have completed at Bluffton has enabled me to work with and build up the community.

Through his major, Sarcheck was able to create an advertising plan for Ten Thousand Villages, a fair-trade market founded in Bluffton, Ohio.

After graduation, Sarcheck plans to pursue his Master of Business Administration (MBA) and apply for a graduate assistant position at Bluffton.

On campus, Sarcheck is a catcher on the baseball team and a Hall Chaplain in Neufeld Hall.
