‘IRL (in real life)’ art exhibit on display
Bluffton University’s Grace Albrecht Gallery will host the art exhibit “IRL (in real life)” by Nichole Maye-Luge, Oct. 21-Dec. 8, 2024.
According to the artist’s statement, “Reality is authentic. My paintings offer glimpses into everyday life, portrayed through oil. From the familiar sights of urban landscapes to the often-overlooked details, each piece captures the essence of the world around us. With a focus on realism, my goal is simple: to portray life as it is, without embellishment or distortion. Through keen observation and dedication, I aim to convey the beauty of ordinary moments and the subtle nuances of our surroundings.”
The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours in the Sauder Visual Arts Center are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
A reception for the artist will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8.
Arts at Bluffton events are made possible due to generous support from donors including James and Rhonda (Louis) Fox, Lowell and Martha Hostetler and Krehbiel-Raid-Pankratz Endowment.
