Bluffton University recognized many of its top students for their academic achievements at the annual Academic Awards and Honors Forum on April 27.
Thirty-one seniors were honored as distinguished scholars in their respective academic areas.
Six seniors were recognized for completion of the Honors Program. They are: Brianna Baker, of Defiance, Ohio; Alana Holsapple, of New Madison, Ohio; Stephanie Fox, of Pickerington, Ohio; Claire Myree, of West Chester, Ohio; Kori Frey, of Kirby, Ohio; and Leonard Winiarski, of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Receiving departmental honors for their independent-study projects were three seniors. Alana Holsapple of New Madison, Ohio, for her psychology project; Isaac Paine of Pickerington, Ohio, for his history project; and Leonard Winiarski of Cincinnati, Ohio, for his history project.

Concluding the program was the recognition of four graduating members of Psi Chi National Psychology Honor Society; 36 new members of Bluffton’s Pi Delta Society, an honor for seniors with a grade point average of at least 3.75 during their college careers; and 36 C. Henry Smith Scholars—12 graduating, 6 continuing and 18 newly elected scholars.
