Human Resources and Payroll Coordinator

Full time - Evening and/or weekend duties as required

POSITION SUMMARY
This position coordinates and processes all aspects of the human resources and payroll functions, while providing support and assistance to employees and supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Functional duties: 
    • Maintains all human resources information, which includes, but is not limited to, Family Medical Leave requests, work injuries and unemployment.
    • Coordinate with ADP the processing all wages, benefits and taxes in a timely manner.
    • Ensures compliance with Federal, State and local regulations, which includes coordinating with internal and external auditors.
    • Coordinates with supervisors to assist in the employment process and communicates with faculty, staff and students as needed.
    • Works closely with the IT department to increase effectiveness of computer operations, system utilization and software capabilities.
  • Other:
    • Handles all other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to satisfactorily perform the essential responsibilities of this job.

Minimum:

  • Education/Certification: Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources or related fields.
  • Experience: Three to five years of human resources and/or payroll fields. Effective interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks along with a commitment to service.

Preferred:

  • Education/Certification: Graduate degree in Human Resouces Management or related field

TYPICAL OFFICE CONDITIONS: 
Frequent use of computer. Mobility required within the office complex and trips to outside offices and off campus for information gathering and delivery.
