Student life graduate assistant
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The graduate assistant provides administrative and programming support for the functional
areas of student affairs, with possible ancillary support for student accounts and
human resource functions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and retrieve necessary information from the computing system, which includes health and immunization forms, and emergency contact information. Creating and running of reports in Jenzebar.
- Input and retrieve student information as requested (housing assignments, class lists, class schedules, transcripts, housing information, meal plans and parking permits etc.)
- Manages parking permit program and distribution.
- Track and manage referral/sanctions database – provide communications on behalf of the conduct officer.
- Staffs the student services office window and provides appropriate customer service experience.
- Regularly attends student life meetings and participates in activities of the department.
- Other duties to be discussed and assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability
required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties of this job.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Current acceptance and enrollment in at least a 2-year graduate studies program
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Effective verbal and written communication between multiple internal and external audiences including students and faculty/staff
- Good organizational skills; good written and verbal communication skills, intermediate skills in the MS Office Suite, and strong interpersonal skills
DEGREE OBTAINED:
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Social Work (MSW)
Compensation:
Full tuition waiver with competitive stipend, room and board.
