Graduate assistant Esports coordinator

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.

QUALIFICATIONS:  
Bachelor’s degree required and acceptance into Bluffton University’s graduate school program. Strong organizational, interpersonal and computer skills are required. Appropriate knowledge of Esports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As coordinator, assist in providing coaching leadership during practices and during games, meets or matches. 
  • Recruiting and related responsibilities (i.e. utilizing CRM, phone calls, text messages on and off campus recruiting).
  • Maintain a full roster for the titles the team will sponsor. Currently, Rocket League, Overwatch, Valorant.
  • Other duties might include but are not limited to the following: assist with team travel, match preparation, equipment care and inventory, alumni relations or other duties to be assigned by the director of athletics. 
  • The director of athletics will serve as the supervisor for secondary activities that can be added to fill out a GA’s load assignment throughout the year.  Potential secondary responsibilities could be but are not limited to the following: facility duties, assist with event management and intramural program supervision. These additional assignments are subject to qualifications and availability and will be determined by the director of athletics.

DEGREE OBTAINED:
Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Arts in Organizational Management (MAOM) or Master of Arts in Education (MAEd)

Compensation:
Full-tuition waiver with competitive stipend and room and board.

August 1, 2024
