An artist's reception with Justin Johnson is set for Saturday, Oct. 5.
‘Elegies of Unrest’ art exhibit on display
Bluffton University’s Grace Albrecht Gallery will host the art exhibit “Elegies of Unrest” by Justin Johnson, through Oct. 5, 2024.
According to the artists’ statement, “My subject matter comes from news feeds and photographic sources from the front lines. I have distilled these compositions to their most simple forms... They are lamentations that describe tragedy through abstraction.”
The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours in the Sauder Visual Arts Center are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
A reception for the artists will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 5, with an artist talk scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
