interpreting the bible from an anabaptist perspective

Dr. Gerald Mast, professor of communication at Bluffton University, will present the Colloquium, “The Bible and Anabaptist Beginnings” at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall.

The colloquium will explore early Anabaptist approaches to Bible reading and understanding, drawing on the experience of compiling comments about biblical passages by early Anabaptist writers for the recently published “Anabaptist Community Bible.” The presentation will give particular focus to oral communication and figural reading in the Anabaptist reception of the Bible.

This event is free and open to the public.
