Bringing people together
Community is among the university’s enduring values, and building community—next door, nationally or internationally—has been a hallmark of generations of Bluffton representatives, be they faculty, staff, students or alumni. The stories that follow describe how one current faculty member and two alumni are continuing the tradition, in the church, with troubled youth and in music.

Unifying voices Kitanya Murray '12 came to Bluffton as a music major with a concentration in performance studies. Now, newly graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales, with a master’s degree in arts management, she helps organize some of the world’s largest school choir concerts for Young Voices (UK) Ltd. And currently, she is also coordinating a planned 20,000-voice adult choir that will perform next May in Cardiff ’s 74,500-seat Millennium Stadium. >>>more |
