Women's Council Grant

MEDA participants

Students Carly Unruh, Jacey Dehogues, Brandi Dominique, and Alex Fox were supported by the Women's Council Grant to attend the Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) convention.

Each academic year, Women's Council sets aside money to provide Professional Enrichment Grant for Women. Full-time junior, senior or fifth-year women are eligible to apply for grants to obtain professional experience in an anticipated career. Sometimes, consideration for sophomore students will be made.

For example, a grant could be awarded to cover the registration fee of a professional conference or experience. Typically, the maximum amount of a grant will be $300. Applications will be received Aug. 1 through May 1. To apply for the grant, women must complete the application and provide a reference from a faculty member in their major area. Grants will be awarded on a first-come basis and each student is eligible for one grant in her academic career.

Online applications will be received annually Aug. 1 through May 1. There are a limited number of grants available each year and will be awarded on a first-come/first-served basis. If your application is approved by Women's Council you will be expected to provide verification of expenditure of funds.
