BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Bluffton University women’s soccer team (1-7, 0-2) lost at Defiance 6-1 on Tuesday, October 4, 2005.
Freshmen Elyse Burckhart (Telford, Pa./Sauderton) knocked in one goal and fired four shots to lead the Beavers. Sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Bloom (Tiffin/Calvert) deflected 11 Yellow Jacket shots during the contest.
Bluffton will return to action on Saturday, October 8 when they host Mount St. Joseph in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
