Beavers split matches at Cincinnati Bible and Heidelberg

The Bluffton University women’s soccer team (3-3) notched both a victory and a loss this past week.

On Saturday at Cincinnati Bible the Beavers posted a convincing victory of 6-0 to even their record.  Senior Jen Byrne (Oak Harbor/Oak Harbor) led the women by tallying three goals for the hat trick. Freshman Kenzey Meyer (Hilliard/Hilliard Darby) posted a goal and an assist with sophomores Brianne Von Lehmdan (Ft. Jennings/Ft. Jennings) and Jen Hoyt (Springfield/Kenton Ridge)scoring a goal each.  Senior goalkeeper Rochelle Saccomen (Ashland/Ashland) recorded her second shutout on the season.

The Beavers fell Wednesday at Heidelberg by the score of 3-1.  The lone Bluffton goal in the contest came from Sophomore Jen Hoyt (Springfield/ Kenton Ridge).

The Beavers will be back in action Tuesday September 28, at Lake Erie College.  Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
