10-6 Weekly Recap

   The Bluffton College women’s (1-7) soccer team played two matches this past week. The first was against Cincinnati Bible where the Beavers were defeated 2-0. In the ladies Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opener against Hanover, the Panthers took the game 7-0.

   Goalkeeper Rochelle Saccomen (Ashland/Ashland) currently leads the HCAC in the saves per game category, posting 13.17 spg. Jenifer Byrne (Oak Harbor/Oak Harbor) is eighth in points per game, averaging 1.00 ppg. She is also tied for eighth place in total goals with three on the year.

   The Beavers will play two matches this week to continue their conference schedule. The first game will be Tuesday at Defiance (4 pm) and on Saturday when they host the Anderson Ravens (noon).
