Sophomore Rochelle Saccomen led the Beaver defense with 21 saves, but Bluffton College fell to Huntington 8-0 Saturday afternoon in the Beavers’ 2002 season opener at the Emery Sears Athletic Complex.
Huntington’s victory gave first-year head coach Tom Datema his first win and spoiled the debut of Bluffton’s first-year coach Ben Simcox.
Bluffton will be back on the field Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Defiance College looking for their first win.
