BLUFFTON, Ohio - Allison Streicher, a four-year starter on Bluffton University’s volleyball team, recently accepted an assistant coaching position at Baldwin Wallace College. Streicher, who graduated this spring with an undergraduate degree in social work said ‘My four years playing volleyball at Bluffton and learning about the game from Coach Yarnell have greatly prepared me to start coaching at Baldwin Wallace. I am very excited to start the next chapter as a coach in hopes that my experience will be as great there as it was at Bluffton.”
The senior right side hitter, who completed her final year with the Beavers this past fall, has been an integral part of the success of Bluffton’s volleyball program. Streicher was a captain her senior year and was an unsung hero for the Beavers, training at different positions throughout her career when needed. “I am very proud of Allison as I have seen her growth as a player and a person while attending Bluffton. She is the second Bluffton player in as many years to go on and further their education while building their coaching resume. This speaks volume to the passion and love that our players have for the sport of volleyball, and they want to share their knowledge and experiences with others. Allison will do well at Baldwin-Wallace and will have a great mentor in veteran coach Vicki Brault.”
