BLUFFTON, Ohio - Michele Rosen, a senior on Bluffton University’s volleyball team, recently accepted a position as the new assistant volleyball coach at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. Rosen, who will graduate with her undergraduate degree in May, said that the LeTournea atmosphere “reminds me a lot of Bluffton, which definitely made it appeal even more to me because I've had such a positive experience at Bluffton.” Rosen also went on to note, “The staff there has provided me with a really amazing opportunity to further my education and gain great coaching experience, and I'm so grateful for that.”
The senior outside hitter, who completed her final year with the Beavers this past fall, has been an integral part of the success of Bluffton’s volleyball program, as she saw a 9-21 overall record from her freshman year campaign improve to a 27-6 record as senior. As a freshman, Rosen led the Beavers in kills with 270 and continued to play many versatile roles throughout her four years. Rosen also feels that her experience as a four-year letter winner under Head Coach Steve Yarnell has prepared her for her next steps as a Bluffton graduate: “After my time here, I know what it takes to accomplish the goals we set from season to season, and I hope that I'll be able to help them do the same with their program. We have a very promising future ahead of us at LeTourneau, and I am very excited to be a part of it!”
