Fisher breaks school marks at Cedarville
Jason Fisher breaks school marks in shot put and hammer throw

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Bluffton University track and field teams competed at the Cedarville Collegiate Open hosted by Cedarville University on Saturday. The men's and women's teams each placed 10th, with Tiffin University victorious on the men's side and host Cedarville claiming first on the women's side.
Highlighting for the men's team was senior Jason Fisher (Rockford/Parkway). Fisher placed second in the shot put and the hammer throw, with marks of 50-08.75 and 179-09, respectively, which are both NCAA provisional qualifying marks and new school records. He also placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 138-11.
Also scoring for the Beavers was junior Michael Timpe (Swanton) who placed seventh in the triple jump (35-10.75).
Pacing the women was sophomore Megan Neal (Arlington), who set a new school record in the hammer with a throw of 143-02.
