14 Bluffton University spring athletes earn HCAC All-Academic Awards

BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference recently announced the spring recipients of the HCAC All-Academic Awards for the 2005-06 school year.

Six women's and two men’s track and field athletes were honored for their efforts in the classroom. Jennifer Creamer (Westerville/Westerville South), Rachel Dionne (Hillsboro, N.H./Hillsboro-Deering), Kirstie Dravenstott (Smithville/Smithville), Sarah Humphrey (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky), Jennifer Lehman (Berne, Ind./South Adams) and Rita Muether (Celina/Celina) were the women’s recipients while Dan Rosebrock (Napoleon/Napoleon) and Mike Koch (Liberty Center/Liberty Center) earned All-Academic on the men’s side. |

In addition to earning the All-HCAC Team Academic Award, three individuals from the softball team were named HCAC All-Academic for 2005-06. Sarah Betts (Bryan/Bryan), Carrie Weisbecker (Okeana/Ross) and Tonya Dean (Kettering/Kettering) were lauded for their accomplishments as student-athletes. |

Three members of the baseball team received HCAC All-Academic honors for 2005-06. Steve Bogner (Willard/Willard), Lowell Wyse (Camden, Mich./Hesston J.C.) and Kyle White (Berne, Ind./South Adams) were all recognized for their academic accomplishments at Bluffton University. |

To earn this honor, a student-athlete must have completed a full year at the institution, be a varsity athlete and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average through the semester preceding the end of the season.
