BLUFFTON, Ohio –Senior Tim Kauffman (Lilburn, Ga./Parkview) has been named all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference following his final men’s tennis campaign as a Beaver.
Kauffman capped off his career at Bluffton with a 3-12 singles record and a 1-12 mark in doubles play during his senior campaign. 2008 highlights include conference victories against Manchester and Mt. St. Joseph in fist singles along with a first doubles win against Heidelberg College.
For his career, Kauffman compiled a 15-35 record in singles action along with a 15-36 mark in doubles play. He competed at first doubles for the better part of three seasons and held down the first singles slot as a junior and a senior after a sophomore season when he played second singles behind HCAC Freshman of the Year Jordan Zickafoose.
The Beavers finished the 2008 campaign with a 1-15 record overall, including a 1-7 mark in the HCAC. Bluffton qualified for the Heartland Conference tournament, falling to eventual champion Transylvania. The Pioneers have won the title for six consecutive seasons.
