   The
Bluffton College men’s tennis team won three Heartland Conference matches last week to improve to 5-2 in the HCAC.  Their overall record stands at 7-4.  The Beavers won against Anderson, Manchester, and Franklin during the past week.  Their lone conference loss last week came against unbeaten Transylvania.

Bluffton was led by the #2 doubles team of seniors Brad Boyles (Berne, Ind/South Adams) and Kyle Sprunger (Berne, Ind/South Adams).  Boyles and Sprunger won all five of their matches to move their record to 11-0 on the year and 7-0 in the HCAC.  Sprunger also chipped in the most singles victories for the week as he went 4-1 at the #4 singles position.  Boyles, senior Owen Beck (Archbold/Archbold), and senior Dan Wott (Fremont/Clyde) all added three singles victories on the week.

The Beavers will be back in action Monday when they travel to Cedarville at 3 pm.  Afterwards Bluffton will prepare for the two-day Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament at Indianapolis on April 16-17.
