BC men’s tennis team defeats rival Defiance College 9-0

The Bluffton College men’s tennis team defeated Defiance College 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon on the Bluffton College tennis courts. For Bluffton, it was its first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match of the season as well as their final home match of the year.

Bluffton seniors Garrett Skare (Huber Heights/Wayne H.S.) and David Barnes (Groveport/Tree of Life Christian) played in their final home matches and both recorded victories. Skare battled it out at #6 singles and won in three sets (4-6, 7-5, 6-2). Barnes won at #5 singles (6-4, 6-3).

The Beavers improve their record to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the HCAC. Bluffton travels to Cincinnati next Saturday, April 5 to take on host Mt. St. Joseph and Hanover College in a tri-match.
