BC is now 7-5 overall and 4-3 in the HCAC and will be led into the league championships by Bluffton’s first-ever No. 1 seed in the tournament, that coming via the No. 2 doubles tandem of sophomore Brad Boyles and freshman Kyle Sprunger, who notched a perfect 7-0 HCAC record during the regular season.
Last week the Beavers collected two against HCAC opponents and ended the regular season on Monday with a 9-0 win against Heidelberg. On April 10 BC topped Defiance 9-0 but fell to Anderson 7-2, and on April 13 Bluffton defeated Franklin 5-4 but fell to Manchester 6-3.
In HCAC matches this spring, No. 1 Owen Beck is 3-4 (7-5 overall), No. 2 Brad Boyles is 4-2 (7-2 overall), No. 3 Dan Wott is 4-2 (7-5 overall), No. 4 Kyle Sprunger is 5-1 (8-2 overall), No. 5 Garrett Skare is 2-3 (6-6 overall) and No. 6 Genti Basha is 2-3 (2-6 overall).
