HIRAM, OHIO – The Bluffton University men’s soccer team (0-1) traveled to Hiram College for their 2004 season opener and dropped the contest 1-0.
Leading the way for the Beavers was sophomore Justin Rohrer (Millersburg/West Holmes) with three shots, two on goal. Freshman Peter Koontz ( Goshen, Ind./Bethany Christian) posted two shots in his first collegiate contest. Goalkeeper Ryan Thomas (Jamestown/Greenview) posted nine saves at the goal.
The Beavers will be back in action this Saturday when they travel to Goshen College. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
