weekly recap 9-22

   The Bluffton College men’s soccer team dominated their competition last week posting wins over Cincinnati Bible and
Lake Erie. The Beavers have now won three out of their last four games for an overall record of 3-4 this season.

   The Beavers first win of the week came at Cincinnati Bible last Tuesday. Bluffton held a 2-1 lead after the first period and then went on to add another goal in the second period for a final score of 3-1. Robert Rohrer led the way for Bluffton with two goals while O’Shea Bowens added a goal and Diego Rodriguez provided two assists.

 

   The Beavers returned from their victory in Cincinnati to take on Lake Erie Saturday at the Sears Emery Complex. The game marked Bluffton’s most potent offensive attack of the season as Bluffton routed Lake Erie 5-1. Leading the way for the Beavers was John Lindow with two goals, while Diego Rodriguez and Ricky Stoner added a goal and an assist each and Andrew Ferguson posted one goal.

 

   Seniors Jon Lindow and Diego Rodriguez have led the way for the Beavers this season. Lindow has recorded six goals for 12 points while Rodriguez has recorded two goals and five assists for nine points.

 

   Bluffton will travel to Taylor/Ft. Wayne this Wednesday for their sole game of the week.
