Bluffton College's high scoring duo of senior Rod Overmyer (Payne, Ohio/Wayne Trace H.S.) and junior Michael Leimeister (Collins, Ohio/Edison H.S.) have both been named first team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference following voting conducted by the HCAC head men's basketball coaches over the weekend. Overmyer, who led the HCAC in scoring with 19.4 points per game, earned his second straight All-HCAC honor, while Leimeister, who ranked 2nd in the HCAC in scoring with 17.3 points per game, picked up his first All-HCAC award.
Overmyer (504 points) and Leimeister (450 points) combined for 954 points this season, which ranks them 8th in BC history in two-man scoring combinations in a single season. They combined for 67 points against Defiance College on Feb. 19, tying the BC single-game record. Both players notched career-high point totals in that game as Leimeister scored 36 points and Overmyer added 31 points.
