Last season’s two Heartland Conference football co-champions collide Saturday in Bluffton, and Lima’s own WTLW Channel 44 will televise the action as Bluffton College hosts Hanover College at 1:30 p.m. in Salzman Stadium.
WTLW will air the game at 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening and again on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. This weekend is homecoming on the campus of Bluffton College, where BC has been victories in 13 of their last 16 homecoming football games. Last season on homecoming WTLW televised Bluffton’s 33-0 win over The College of Mount St. Joseph.
Bluffton is looking for their first win over Hanover since 1990, while the visiting Panthers are looking to end a four-game losing skid, their first since 1971. Both these teams ended last season with 5-1 league records to tie for the HCAC crown, with Hanover advancing to the national playoffs. Bluffton is currently tied for third place in the HCAC with a 1-1 league record. Hanover is 0-1 in the conference.
