Bluffton picked second in Heartland Conference preseason poll

In the 2001 Heartland Conference preseason coaches poll released yesterday by the HCAC office, Bluffton College was voted second in a tie with Defiance College among the seven HCAC member schools.
Hanover College earned the #1 ranking as the coaches picked them to repeat as HCAC champions. The Panthers picked up five first place votes and 46 total points. Bluffton, who shared the HCAC title with Hanover last season, picked up 40 overall points and one first place vote.
