Bluffton College senior offensive guard Rick Orr (Beaverdam/Bluffton H.S.) and sophomore running back Jovan Johnson (Columbus/West H.S.) have been named third team All-North Region by The Football Gazette magazine.
The team was selected by a panel of sports information directors from around the Midwest and covers the states of Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois and Kentucky.
Orr, a 6-3 275 pound senior, was a first team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference selection this season after earning second team All-HCAC honors last season. A three-year starter and co-captain this season, he anchored the BC offensive line that led the league in rushing for the third straight season and produced the conference’s individual rushing champion for the fourth straight season. Orr will graduate in May with a degree in education.
