2000 Bluffton College Softball Coaches



     

Ty Cook

Head Coach
The 1999 HCAC Coach of the Year, Ty Cook now enters her second season at BC having returned winning ways to
the Beaver softball program. Cook made her head coaching debut a successful one last season as she guided
Bluffton to the 1999 HCAC Tournament title.

A four-year letter winner at the University of Charleston, WV, Cook hit over .300 all four years and was named to
the conference All-Tournament team one season. She graduated in 1992 with a degree in psychology and went on
to earn an MSEd in consulting psychology from the University of Kansas in 1994. Cook is nearing completion of her doctorate degree from the University of West Virginia in sports psychology.

Cook is an assistant professor of health, physical education and recreation at Bluffton College.





      Kary Zimmerman
Assistant Coach
Second year coach Kary Zimmerman serves as a graduate assistant coach in basketball and softball. She is a 1998
University of Dayton graduate and is now is working towards a master's degree in sports administration from
Bowling Green State University.

Zimmerman earned All-Atlantic 10 conference honors her senior year in addition to earning the offensive player of
the year award. She was also named to the GTE District IV Academic All-America team, as well as the Atlantic-10
All-Academic team. 



      Beth Klocke
Assistant Coach
Beth Klocke is making her softball coaching debut this spring for the Beavers. Also an assistant basketball coach for BC, Klocke was a four-year varsity performer for Bluffton on the basketball court and ranks as one of Bluffton's top-five all-time three-point shooters.

A 1998 BC graduate in psychology, Klocke is taking classes toward a master's degree in sports psychology at Bowling Green State University.
