BC takes 61-57 decision at AndersonBy AU Sports Information
The Anderson women's basketball team fought to end a 10 game losing streak Wednesday night, but couldn't hold on in the last half, and lost to Bluffton 61-57 at O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.
Ardath Miller scored 13 points to lead the Ravens. Erin Cook and Rachel Miller added 11 points, and Kelly McMillan contributed 12 rebounds.
The Ravens (5-15, 0-11) led at half time by three, but shot only 32% from the field in the second half, the Beavers shooting 57%. The Ravens battled back from a 17-point deficit to come within two points of the Beavers (7-14) with only 20 seconds on the clock, but simply ran out of time.
Kristen Helvey scored 13 points to lead the Beavers. Amy Ascheimier added another 11 points.
The Ravens have just three regular season games remaining. They will travel to Hanover this Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
