Women's Volleyball fall to Grizzlies

The Bluffton women's volleyball team fell to Franklin College on September 30. Their record is now 12-10 on their season and 1-1 in the Heartland Conference.

Despite the loss to Franklin the Beavers were able to win one of four games and did not go away without a fight. The women were able to win the first game 15-11, but then lost the second game 5-15. For the third game, the Beavers were able to hold on a little more, but still lost 11-15. The fourth set was a hard loss. The Beavers tied the score at 14-14 but fell 14-16.

Senior Beth Weidus led the Beavers with 12 kills and 24 digs. Junior Erica Jellison led the team with aces with five and senior Betsy Hook led the team in blocks with nine.

The volleyball's next match was Wednesday October 4 at Bluffton against visiting Defiance College. BC will play Denison at home on Tuesday October 10, 2000 at 7:00 p.m.
