Roberts named HCAC POW

Bluffton College junior Jeremy Roberts (Bucyrus/Wynford High School) has been named the Player of the Week in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

It marks the third time this season that Roberts has won the award and the fourth time in his career.

Roberts led Bluffton College to two HCAC wins last week, including a 94-92 win over HCAC leader Franklin College. In the Franklin game on Wednesday he scored 26 points, putting him over the 1,000 point mark for his career. He also added seven rebounds, four assists and a steal.

Then on Saturday he led BC to a 99-75 win over Wilmington by scoring 18 points and collecting four rebounds and five assists. Roberts was 19-29 (66%) from the floor during the week.

Jeremy is averaging 20.4 points per game so far this season, ranked first in the HCAC and 37th in the nation.

Bluffton is 9-7 overall and 2-3 in the HCAC. The Beavers will play at Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
