BLUFFTON, Ohio –The Bluffton University men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Otterbein College for the Otterbein Invitational on Saturday September 24. The men finished seventh out of nine teams, while the women placed eighth out of eleven teams.
Sophomore Sarah Humphrey (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) was the first Bluffton runner to finish the 6k race, crossing the line in 26th place with a time of 24:38. She was followed by senior Jennifer Creamer (Westerville/Westerville South) who ended up 35th, running the race in 25:08. Sophomore Bree Fetterman (North Royalton/Padua) and junior Lauren Bailey (Powell/Upper Arlington) were 47th (26:54) and 56th (28:06) respectively. Freshman Ashley Smith (Delta/Delta) rounded out the time five, finishing 64th with a time of 30:08.
The Beavers will be back in action on October 1, when they will be running at the Earlham Invitational.
