Quakers too much for Beavers at home

BLUFFTON, OHIO – The Bluffton College baseball team (4-10) lost a single 9-inning game to Wilmington College (8-1) 15-7 on Wednesday afternoon.

Junior Ryan Fiely (Greenville/Greenville Sr.) led the Beavers with two hits, one run and three RBI’s. Fiely posted two double for the outing. Senior Jim Dwenger (Minster/Minster) belted out two runs off of two hits for the day. Sophomore Tony Gerig (West Unity/Hilltop) also posted two hits for Bluffton.

Freshman Rob Danhoff (Willard/Willard) recorded the loss for the Beavers on the mound.

The Beavers will open Heartland Conference play this weekend when they travel to Lexington, Kentucky to face Transylvania University. The series starts Friday at 3 pm with a single game and a doubleheader on Saturday at noon.
