Prerequisites for courses in the liberal arts & sciences program
- College English is to be taken during the first year. Students must take the English level (110 or 120) into which they were placed.
- Understanding Numerical Data may be taken by any student who places into College Algebra or above.
- These courses are open to all students: Public Speaking and Persuasion, Introduction to Biblical Worldview, Integrated Arts, and the social sciences.
- Natural Science courses with a NSC prefix are open to all students. Lab sciences require completion of Basic Math or placement into College Algebra or above.
- Humanities 1 is open to all students who have completed College English. Humanities 2 is open to students who have completed Humanities 1.
- The upper-level religion courses are open to all students who have completed Introduction to Biblical Worldview.
- Issues in Modern America should be taken by juniors and interested sophomores. (Students must have completed 15 hours of general education credit before enrolling.)
- Cross-cultural Experience should be taken by students in the spring of their sophomore or junior year. For students who chose to fulfill their cross-cultural requirement by taking Spanish courses, note that all Spanish courses require a placement test.
- Christian Values in the Global Community is open to all seniors. It is expected that students will have completed their cross-cultural requirement and Issues in Modern America prior to taking this course.
