Curriculum Resource Center
We invite you to come and explore all that the CRC has to offer in resources and developing collections. Work on projects, connect with other students and education faculty, and find help in locating information and resources.
Mission
The primary mission of the Curriculum Resource Center (CRC) is to support the undergraduate
and graduate teaching programs at Bluffton by providing quality materials and services
to education students and faculty. These materials help students prepare and develop
lesson plans, teaching units, and pre-practicum and practicum assignments.
The CRC is open to all Bluffton University users and to area educators and other interested community patrons (see Circulation Policies below).
Location & Facilities
The CRC is located on the 4th floor of the Musselman Library. Several large tables are available for collaboration and projects, and two networked PCs are available nearby. The production area includes machines and resources for creating bulletin board layouts and other projects.
The Seminar Room, a library classroom and group study space, is also located on the 4th floor and can be reserved for class and group use.

Library collections reflect library and education faculty collaboration; suggestions from students and others users are always welcome. Tim Byers, assistant professor of education, is the liaison from the teacher education department for the Curriculum Resource Center.
Beyond what is available at the Musselman Library, teacher education students at Bluffton benefit from the resources and programming at the Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center, the Bluffton Public Library, and OPAL/OhioLINK borrowing.
Production Area
The CRC production area offers the following equipment, supplies, and services:
| Two Ellison die-cutting machines (what dies do you have?) | no charge to use dies |
| large-format roll laminating (requires library staff assistance) | 50 cents per foot |
| small-format pouch laminating | 50 cents per pouch |
| spiral binding | 10 cents per comb |
| bulletin board paper | 50 cents per foot |
| white 11" roll paper | 10 cents per foot |
| construction and colored paper | 5 cents per sheet |
| networked computers (printers on main floor) | no charge |
Machines are primarily self-serve, except the large laminating machine requires library staff assistance.
For big projects, especially for campus departments and units, the library offers a drop-off service with laminating; turnaround time varies.
Payment for supplies and services is made at the Circulation Desk. Forms for making payment are available in the CRC and at the Circulation Desk. Students and community users should pay cash at the time of purchase. Campus department charges may be billed to departmental accounts.
Questions about production equipment and services can be directed to the Circulation Desk (x3262).
