Save the date for the annual Bluffton University Women Enriching Women conference on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

This day is designed for women of all ages to come together, learn from each other and support the next generation of professionals.

Your registration fee covers all costs associated with speaker fees, handouts and lunch. After expenses are covered, a small portion of the registration fee goes into our Professional Enrichment Grant (“PEG”) which provides financial support to Bluffton University undergraduate women who want to attend a professional conference as part of their academic experience.

This event is sponsored by the Bluffton University Women's Council

This year's event will feature two keynote speakers and an alumni panel.

Schedule of Events: 

Stutzman Lecture Hall in Centennial Hall

9:30 a.m. - Attendees check-in and help themselves to breakfast provided by The Dough Hook.

10 a.m. - Welcome by Women’s Council representative

10:05 a.m.- Keynote speaker Dr. Jane Wood, Bluffton University president

10:45 a.m. - Q&A for Dr. Wood

10:55 a.m. - Short video presentation

11 a.m. - Alumnae panel of various ages and careers share their stories, moderated by Marathana Prothro, assistant professor of communication

12:45 p.m. - Keynote speaker Alaina Shearer, founder of Women in Digital and motivational speaker: "The Power of An Ask" 

Women today have more power than ever before. Alaina Shearer's personal and professional mission is to give every woman in every industry, the awareness of the power each holds for each other. During her engaging talk, hear Alaina's story of her professional journey and the gender discrimination she witnessed and experienced that led to her founding Women in Digital, a national organization with over 2K members. The story will leave you moved, energized and empowered to instigate change within your own personal and professional networks.

What happens when women gather with the intent to ask each other for help and to lift each other up rather than to compete? Experience the power of Asks & Gives, the exchange that has changed thousands of women's lives and led to Women in Digital's grassroots growth.
