Bluffton advances to championship game with 90-67 win over HiramDecember 21, 2001

Bluffton College advanced to the championship game of the Heidelberg College Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament with a 90-67 victory over Hiram College Friday night.
Bluffton will take on host Heidelberg at 4:00 on Saturday. WDOH will broadcast the game live from Tiffin.
Senior Rod Overmyer nailed six 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 24 points to lead Bluffton to a season-high 90 points.
Junior Mike Leimeister scored 17 points in the first half and ended the game with 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
The Beavers led 49-34 at halftime and shot 59% from the field in the second half as BC went up by as many as 29 points. The win was Bluffton's second in a row and brings BC to within one game of the .500 mark at 4-5.
Junior Marcus Bixler dished out seven assists, while senior Kevin Grey collected a career-high six assists.
Bluffton forced 27 turnovers and outrebounded the Terriers 39-31.
