Richard Ciccone is beginning his first year as the special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach for the Bluffton University football team. He came to Bluffton after stints at Kenyon College and Marietta College.
Ciccone handled the defensive line and was promoted to recruiting coordinator at Kenyon College in 2011, a move that helped the Lords double their number of commitments over the previous year. At Marietta College in 2006-07, Ciccone directed the running backs and assisted with game planning for a squad that finished third in the OAC in total offense.
Prior to his time at Kenyon College, Ciccone did extensive work with the Ohio State Football Team, including identifying recruits, reviewing transcripts and working as a camp counselor for the Buckeyes. In addition, he was a counselor at Mount Union's Larry Kehres Football Camp in 2004-05.
Ciccone is a member of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) as well as holding a certificate in Jump Stretch. He was a two-year starter and two-time National Champion for Coach Kehres at Mount Union while earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in history at Mount Union from 2001-04.
Ciccone will reside in the Bluffton area.
