Bluffton football broadcasts join TEAMLINE for successful partnership in first seasonJanuary 7, 2001
In figures released last week by TRZ Sports Services (Kent, Ohio), Bluffton College football broadcasts along with a new partnership with TEAMLINE had a successful first season together. TEAMLINE is a phone service that hooked up with WDOH radio (107.1 FM, Delphos) to make BC football games accessible from anywhere in the country.
Of the 258 colleges and universities that are in partnership with TEAMLINE, Bluffton ranked #140, bettering such schools as Cincinnati (141), Southern California (150), Colorado State (163), Minnesota (169), Michigan (225) and Mount Union (226). Ohio State ranked #51 on the list.
For over a decade, WDOH radio (107.1 FM, Delphos, OH) has covered each BC football game, both at home and on the road, and this season those live-game feeds were also available to BC fans that called TEAMLINE during the game.
Harvard ranked #1 among the 258 schools, followed closely by Georgia and Yale.
Bluffton posted its second-straight 7-3 season in 2000 and won a share of the Heartland Conference championship. Two of Bluffton's longest road games generated the most call-in listeners as the Beavers won at Thiel College on September 16 and at Franklin College on October 28.
