The 2000-01 men's and women's basketball seasons at Bluffton College will get underway on Friday, October 20 as Midnight Madness comes to Founders Hall. The one-hour event is sponsored by the men's and women's basketball teams and Marbeck Center Board and signifies the first day of practice for both squads, as determined by the NCAA.

Midnight Madness is free of charge and will begin at 9:00 p.m. and end shortly after 10:00. The first 50 fans to come through the door will receive a free t-shirt and the event will be filled with tons of contests and free give-aways. Pizza and snacks will be free of charge throughout the event.

Prizes include a large item donated by ABC Warehouse in addition to free food certificates from nearly all area fast-food restaurants. MCB will hold a shooting contest for students with the winner taking home $500.

Both the men's and women's basketball teams will be introduced and will compete against each other in a 3-point shooting contest.
