Defiance drops BC 77-66

Bluffton fell in another close game Wednesday night, this time to Defiance College in Founders Hall, by the final score of 77-66. BC held a 36-35 halftime edge, but the Yellow Jackets shot 54% from the field in the second half compared to Bluffton's 33% to take the win.

Defiance (5-4) landed five players in double figures, while the Beavers landed two-- juniors Kristy Crall and Bree Wood, who scored 14 apiece. Crall hit back-to-back three pointers late in the second half, but a 7-0 run by Defiance in the last two minutes of play sealed the win for the visitors.

Defiance double and triple teamed Elizabeth Snavely nearly the entire game, and held the high scoring junior to nine points and just two rebounds.

BC made just eight trips to the free throw line in the game, making five. Defiance converted on 17 of their 23 charity tosses.

Bluffton freshman Kristin Helvey dished out 10 assists and added eight points.
