ONU comeback sinks BC

December 11, 1999

Bluffton College held a 31-26 halftime advantage Saturday at Ohio Northern University, but the Polar Bears outscored BC by 11 in the second half to take a 63-57 win.

Junior Elizabeth Snavely collected a season-high 15 rebounds and scored 22 points to lead BC. She was the only Bluffton player in double figures, as freshman Michelle Ray was next on the score sheet with nine points.

It was a sloppy game for both teams, as BC and ONU combined for more turnovers (51) than field goals (43). BC held ONU to 2-12 from three-point range and the hosts made just 17 of 32 foul shots, but BC was whistled for 27 fouls as Snavely fouled out along with juniors Kristy Crall and Bree Wood.
