Bluffton falls at Wilmington
Wilmington College handed a visiting Bluffton College squad a 77-65 loss Saturday on the Quaker home court. Bluffton junior Kristy Crall nailed six three-pointers in the loss, as BC saw their record slip to 2-3 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
It was an off night shooting for BC, who hit just 33% of their shots and 31% from three-point range. Junior Elizabeth Snavely fouled out with 10 points, while freshman Kristin Helvey also chipped in 10 points and collected five assists
Wilmington (11-5, 3-2 HCAC) was led by Josie Eilerman with 28 points.
Bluffton forced 24 Quaker turnovers and committed just 19 themselves. BC trailed by just two points with under eight minutes to play, but Wilmington pulled away for the victory.
Bluffton will return home to Founders Hall on Wednesday for a 7:00 game against Mount St. Joseph.
BC and Wilmington will meet again in Founders Hall on February 12th.
