Coole scores 25 as Bluffton gets cut down at DC

A talented Defiance College basketball squad hit on all cylindars Wednesday night to the tune of a 104-88 victory over Bluffton College. Defiance, ranked in several national polls, moved to 2-1 on the season, while BC falls to 2-3.

It was a break-out game for junior Ben Coole, who scored 25 points on 11-14 shooting. He scored 14 of Bluffton's first 22 points in the second half as he and Defiance center Chad Kahle put on a shooting display. Kahle was 11-13 in the game and finished with a game high 29 points.

Junior Jeremy Roberts netted 19 points in the game, while junior Chad Cramer collected 14.

It was a difficult shooting night for the Beavers, as they hit on just three of 23 three point opportunities and were 21-36 from the free throw line.
