Bluffton loses nail-biter to Panthers


Hanover was good on six free throws in the final 1:14 to earn their second HCAC victory of the season. The game was highlighted by 31 lead changes and a Justin Julian three-pointer at the buzzer which bounced off the rim to end the game.

Bluffton shot 57% from the floor and 56% from three-point land and was led by junior Jeremy Roberts with 22 points. Sophomore Rod Overmyer scored 12 points in just 11 minutes and hit two key three-pointers late in the second half. BC junior Chris Sheldon dished out a game-high seven assists.

Hanover (11-2, 2-0 HCAC) was led by Matt Moyer with 16 points.

The two teams will meet again at Bluffton on January 29th.
