Dr. Jeffrey Boehm (center, back), professor of music at Bluffton University, directs 101 brass musicians from six schools in a rehearsal on the Bluffton music department’s Brass Day, Oct. 12. The students, in grades 6-12, represented McComb, Riverdale, Benjamin Logan, Lima Temple Christian, Arcadia and Bluffton schools. They rehearsed together in Yoder Recital Hall before closing the morning-long program with a mini-concert with the Gaudete Brass Quintet, a Midwest-based ensemble, and Bluffton brass players.
