BC ENROLLMENT TOPS 1,000 FOR 4TH YEAR
Bluffton College has a student enrollment of more than 1,000 for the fourth consecutive year, Registrar Linda Suter announced this week.
Official enrollment figures show a total of 1,001 students, including 982 undergraduate and 19 graduate students in the master of arts in education program. Female students total 559 and males total 442.
"Average test scores and grade point averages for first-year students are up from last year," noted Dr. Donald Schweingruber, vice president for enrollment management and student life.
"In addition we are welcoming increased numbers of transfer, out-of-state and Mennonite students to campus," Schweingruber said. "We are very excited about the quality of our new students, who complement an already strong student body."
