Faculty Position in Food and Nutrition
Full time, tenure track

Qualifications
PhD (or doctorate in progress) in food and nutrition, dietetics, or related field with demonstrated teaching experience in food and nutrition or dietetics courses. Registered dietitian with appropriate state licensure is required. Preferred candidate will have dietetics practice experience. Successful teaching experience, demonstrated ability for scholarly research, and an enthusiasm for working with undergraduate students are required. Experience with a didactic program in dietetics is preferred. 

Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses in nutrition, lifecycle nutrition, food science, advance nutrition, food service systems management, public health nutrition and others which are a part of the Food & Nutrition major. The major has three concentration areas: dietetics, wellness, and food in business. Recruit and advise students and provide faculty leadership to the department student organization. Continue creative and scholarly development and demonstrate active involvement in professional organizations. Possibly teach interdisciplinary general education courses, science courses or courses in other disciplines drawing on the candidate's strengths.

Compensation
Commensurate with education and experience within the university pay scale.

Appointment
Fall semester 2013.
